HDL Works was founded after a management buyout of Translogic in May 2004.
It is privately owned by its founder and employees.
HDL Works is active in the following areas:

• Consultancy on HDL design and software.
• Distribution in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands
• Development of high-performance, intuitive tools for complex HDL design

Consultancy

Supported by 14 years of experience in the EDA industry HDL Works offers various services to its customers.
The consultancy services include:

• Digital design in VHDL or Verilog (both in-house and on-site)
• Translation service from Altera AHDL to VHDL or Verilog
• Custom software development
• Design flow optimization

Distribution

CAST : IP-cores

CAST is one of the oldest IP companies in the EDA industry. Their portfolio covers a broad range starting from TTL simulation models to high-end multimedia cores like the JPEG 2000. In addition to the soft HDL cores for ASICs they also deliver firm cores and hard cores for specific FPGA vendors like Xilinx and Altera.

Software products

HDL Works develops VHDL/Verilog and mixed language design tools for FPGA and ASIC development. HDL Works currently holds EASE, HDL Companion and Scriptum in its product portfolio.

HDL Works products are sold both direct and through an extensive worldwide distribution network.
